NEW JERSEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS

2004-

* On December 15th 2004, the Anthony Telesca Memorial Foundation, in conjunction with State Farm Insurance Companies, has presented a $3,000 grant to the Lenape Regional High School District for use in the Driver Education Programs.

* The Foundation held its 2nd Annual Golf Outing Fundraiser on September 28, 2004, at Little Mill Country Club in Marlton, NJ. The event was altered by inclement weather generated by hurricane Jeanne, but sponsors and golfers kept their commitments, and The Foundation exceeded its goal of raising $10,000 to help promote teenage driver safety awareness in Anthony Telesca's name.

* Anthony Telesca Foundation takes root in Florida and granted its first two scholarships in Florida on May 14th 2004. The scholarships were presented to Julie Disparte and Hillarie Reinders, both of East Lake High School.

* December 15, 2004: The Anthony Telesca Memorial Foundation, in conjunction with State Farm Insurance Companies, has presented a $3,000 grant to the Lenape Regional High School District for use in the Driver Education Programs.Part of the presentation team included Agent Claude Blum, of State Farm, who upgraded the initial Telesca Foundation grant of $1,500 with a matching contribution of $1,500. In addition to Dr. Hicks, representatives from Cherokee, Lenape, Seneca and Shawnee High Schools were on hand for the ceremonies. The grant money is to be distributed equally to the four schools and will be budgeted for teaching materials in the respective Teen Driver Education Programs.


2003-

* On September 22, 2003, The First Annual Anthony Telesca Foundation Golf Outing was held at Medford Village Country Club. Fifty-Two golfers participated in a wonderful day of golf, followed by a delicious dinner at the Medford Village Banquet Room. With the help of many generous sponsors, including Commerce Bank, Visionline Media, South Jersey Driving School, and many others. The event raised several thousand dollars for The Foundation.

* Annual scholarships granted to college bound high school seniors from Shawnee, Cherokee, Lenape, and Burlington County Institute of Technology

* Held a fund raising activity by sponsoring a student volleyball tournament, March 1, 2003, at Shawnee High School supported by their local SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) groups.

* The Foundation's major event "Teenage Driver Safety Awareness Day" was held on January 7, 2003, in the Lenape Regional School District. A special assembly was held at each high school for junior and senior students and a "Keys to Safe Wheels" presentation and video was presented by State Farm Insurance.

* The Medford Ice Rink has contributed to the Foundation by donating donating $1 for every paid admission to their public skating sessions for two weekends during December 2002 and January 2003.

* Burlington County Institute of Technology Seneca High School will be granted annual scholarships starting in 2003 and Seneca High School will be granted annual scholarships starting in 2004. Recipients of Foundation scholarships are required to attend a "defensive driving" course, at no cost, through the generosity of the South Jersey Driving School.


2002-

* The Medford Ice Rink has contributed to the Foundation by donating donating $1 for every paid admission to their public skating sessions for two weekends during December 2002 and January 2003.

* Held two fund raising activities by sponsoring a student volleyball tournament, December 5, 2002, at Cherokee and Lenape High Schools supported by their local SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) groups.

* Annual scholarships granted to college bound high school seniors from Shawnee, Cherokee, and Lenape.



2001-
* The Foundation offers to pay the entire cost of attending a "defensive driving" course for all seniors who apply and are not awarded Foundation scholarships

* Held our 1st "Teenage Driver safety Awareness Day" on November 28, 2001 at Shawnee High School

* Purchase of driver education materials for Shawnee

* One time relief funds sent to 9/11 World Trade Center victims


2000-
* One time purchase of reading materials for Allen Elementary and Memorial Middle Schools where Anthony attended (plague and name plates in Anthony's memory are located at these schools)

* One time purchase of children's bibles for St. Mary's of the Lakes School (where Anthony was a Sunday School Classroom Advisor since 8th Grade until his death as a high school junior)
